Context:
Rummanah (or Rammanah) is a Palestinian village located in the northern part of the Jenin Governorate, in the northwestern West Bank. It lies about 17 km northwest of Jenin city. It’s part of a small cluster of villages near the Green Line (the 1949 Armistice Line separating the West Bank and Israel). Nearby localities include Zububa, Ta’anakh, and Jalama to the east, and Umm al-Fahm (inside Israel) to the west. So, Rummanah sits very close to the Israeli border, on the northwestern edge of the Jenin area — a rural village with olive groves and agricultural land that has often faced military incursions and settler harassment due to its proximity to the separation barrier.
