Attack on journalist Fadi Yassin while covering a protest in Tulkarm

On November 18, 2025, Al Jazeera photographer Fadi Yassin was injured in his legs, after Israeli occupation soldiers shot him while he was performing his work near Nour Shams camp in Tulkarm Northern West Bank Occupied.

According to the testimony of his colleague, Al Jazeera correspondent Laith Jaar, they covered a protest organized by displaced citizens to demand the return to their homes in the camp, while an Israeli sniper opened fire directly on the demonstrators, wounding photographer Fadi Yassin with bullets in his legs.

Fadi Yassin was immediately transferred to Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital in Tulkarm to receive treatment.

A child, who was also present in the area, was also injured by shrapnel from live bullets.

During the same event, Israeli soldiers detained Roya TV cameraman Mahmoud Fawzi after assaulting him.

It was the second protest, since the previous, where hundreds of Palestinian residents of Nour Shams camp demand the return to their homes in the camp from which they were forcibly displaced 10 months ago.
