Owais Hammam Dhieb Al-Loo tortured by settlers and soldiers in Khirbet Bani Harith

On December 5, Owais Hammam Dhieb, a young Palestinian man from the village of Khirbet Bani Harith near Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, was attacked and abducted by Israeli settlers while on his way to pray in a quiet area he often visited for solitude and reflection.

Four settlers seized the 28-year-old in the mountainous area surrounding Khirbet Bani Harith and dragged him toward the Bab al-Taqa area in Jabal al-Risan. His hands and feet were tied, and he was forcibly taken to a nearby settlement outpost, where the assault continued. Israeli soldiers later joined in the beating, during which Hammam sustained extensive injuries. He was also threatened at gunpoint and deprived of sleep during the ordeal.

Hammam was eventually transferred to the Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah, where he is receiving treatment. Medical staff described his condition as stable but noted that he suffered significant bruising and trauma across his body.
