Israeli strikes on Balbeek Eastern Lebanon kill at least 9

On MARCH 4, 2026, at least nine people were killed and 15 others wounded on Wednesday in an Israeli airstrike on the eastern Lebanese city of Baalbek;

Israeli warplanes struck a multi-story residential building housing six families. Most of the structure was reduced to rubble, while a remaining section was left heavily damaged and on the verge of collapse. Rescue teams continued searching for survivors beneath the debris.
