Pogrom in Qusra and Jalud

04 April, 2026
West Bank, Nablus

On April 4, 2026, at 21:15, a group of settlers, supported by Israeli forces, entered citizens’ lands near the Al-Masbah area on the southern outskirts of Qusra. They opened fire randomly at residents who tried to confront them. During this attack, they surrounded the house of Yahya Mahmoud Hussein Abu Raida and attempted to storm it.

At 22:25, settlers moved into the area between Qusra and Jalud, where they set fire to two poultry barns belonging to the Biladi Company, owned by Anwar Al-Faqih, a resident of Qatana in the Jerusalem Governorate. They also burned a truck loaded with poultry, which belonged to Bagis Abdul Qadir Al-Faqih, a resident of Khirbet Umm Al-Lahm in the Jerusalem Governorate.

A group of Israeli settlers, backed by Israeli forces, abducted a Palestinian worker, Zaher Muhammad Mustafa Shanabla while he was working at a poultry farm located between the villages of Qusra and Jalud, south of Nablus.

During these attacks, Shanabla was severely beaten, sustaining serious injuries. Fire rescue crews were subsequently blocked from reaching the scene to extinguish the fires. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that Shanabla was transported to the hospital after suffering a serious head wound as a result of the assault.

Earlier, a number of settlers had also attempted to attack homes in the western part of Qusra town, but were confronted by residents. Following these incidents, the Israeli army entered the area, firing tear gas canisters at citizens, causing several people to suffer from inhalation injuries.
