"This morning, Israeli occupation forces forcibly expelled Palestinian woman Umm Zuhri Shweiki, an elderly woman, from her home in the Batn al-Hawa neighborhood of Silwan, occupied Jerusalem. The forces surrounded the house, blocked access roads, seized the rooftop, and emptied the property of all contents before handing it over to extremist settlers, citing ownership claims dating back to 1881. The eviction is part of a broader campaign led by the extremist settler group Ateret Cohanim, which claims 5 dunums and 200 square meters in Batn al-Hawa, threatening 87 Palestinian families with displacement.
