The non-violent Palestinian activist Ayman Ghraieb, who was arrested on 17 November 2025 in al-Fasayil (Jordan Valley).

Ayman Ghraieb is a well-known nonviolent activist who documents settler violence against Palestinian communities in the Jordan Valley. His peaceful work has repeatedly made him the target of harassment by settlers, who have called in the army on several previous occasions to obstruct his documentation efforts. His current detention is therefore of serious concern and raises questions about its motivation and legality.

According to multiple sources, Ayman Ghraieb was first detained by Israeli military personnel at the request of settlers present at the scene, held for several hours, and subsequently arrested. A source within Israeli security services has indicated to that he currently being held by the Shin Bet. Despite repeated inquiries, neither the International Committee of the Red Cross nor his legal representatives have been able to obtain any information about his location, condition, or legal status.
