On July 6, 2025, two homes were besieged by Israeli special forces in the village of Salem, east of Nablus, West Bank.

Israeli forces opened fire intensively and randomly at homes and local youths during skirmishes with them in the area. Israeli forces exchanged fire with residents. Two of them were killed by Israeli. The local resident later retrieved a body from one of the buildings.

Then Israeli reinforcements arrived.

The Red Crescent said that an ambulance crew evacuated the body of a slain Palestinian from one of the houses that had been besieged and raided by Israeli forces in the town.

Martyr names:

• Wissam Ghassan Hasan Ishtiya (37) and
• Qusay Nasser Mahmoud Nassar (23)

Victim’s Identity: At least one victim remains unnamed in official reports; two have been identified as Ishtiya and Nassar

Another 62-year-old man was injured by the Isreli gunfire, and a young man was shot and detained by Israeli soldiers. The 62-year-old who was transported by a Red Crescent ambulance.

Aftermath:

Military reinforcements pushed through; bodies were removed by Palestinian Red Crescent and health agencies. One body has reportedly not been returned by the Israeli Army.
