On December 20, Israeli forces stormed Silat al-Harithiya in the evening, firing live ammunition and stun grenades at residents.

During the raid, soldiers shot Ahmed Saed Shehadeh Zyoud, 22, in the chest with live fire. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that its crews treated a young man with a critical gunshot wound to the chest, performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and transported him to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

In the same raid, a 15-year-old boy was injured by shrapnel from live ammunition in his hand and was also taken to hospital.
