Day 838 in Gaza (Ceasefire violations)

On January 21, 2026, several Israeli violations of the so-called ceasefire occurred in Palestinian-controlled areas. In the morning, the Israeli army detonated residential buildings east of Beit Lahia in northern Gaza and shelled areas east of Khan Yunis and around al‑Bureij camp. An Israeli helicopter also opened fire at the Deir al‑Balah area in central Gaza, while artillery bombardment struck western Rafah in the south. Central Gaza:
