"🚨🚨CAMP BUILT ON A LANDFILL IN GAZA 🚨🚨 The Sameer Project medical committee visited Al Ta’awun Camp in Gaza City, on February 14th, and the situation was disastrous. The camp is set up on a dump with sewage and trash scattered everywhere. Helo now: https://chuffed.org/project/136892-medical-campaign-x-sameer-project 4,340 people live in Al Ta’awun Camp that’s only 6 dunam (6,000 square meters) and our team of experts found the following challenges: - Unhygienic water: the municipality water that people use passes through the trash. - ⁠Trash: garbage everywhere in the camp. - ⁠Sewage: streams of sewage flowing through the camp and around the tents. - ⁠Toilets: there are 90 toilets for 4,300 people. So around 48 people sharing ONE toilet. - ⁠Contagious diseases: spread of multiple skin diseases due to lack of hygiene. - ⁠Medical access: there is no medical point nearby. Man died from diabetes attack and couldn’t get to a medical point on time.
