"Amal Hamad Al-Shamali, 46, a correspondent for Qatar Radio, was killed after an Israeli strike targeted tents sheltering displaced people in the town of Al-Zawaida in central Gaza.

In a statement, the Palestinian Journalists Forum said that the killing of colleague Al-Shamali came at a time when the world is celebrating International Women’s Day. The forum described this as a painful irony that exposes the scale of crimes faced by Palestinian women, especially female journalists who continue to carry out their professional mission despite bombardment, threats, and danger."
