The Za‘atara Roundabout is located in the West Bank, near the town of Za‘atara (also spelled Za’tara or Za’tara Junction), South of Nablus. It's a Major junction on the Nablus–Ramallah road (Route 60), connecting northern and central West Bank areas. Often referred to in news reports because it is heavily controlled by Israeli military checkpoints and frequently a site of clashes between Palestinians and Israeli forces. Close to the Palestinian towns of Beita, Awarta, and Yatma.
