"The young man Amir Odeh was killed after being shot in the heart during an attack by groups of settlers on the village of Qusra, south of Nablus." - Source
On March 14, 2026, Israeli settlers carried out a violent attack in the village of Qusra in the West Bank, killing 25-year-old Ameer Motasem Odeh and injuring three others, including his father, who was brutally beaten. One of the injured remains in critical condition.
The assault occurred in the Al-Karak area west of Qusra, southeast of Nablus, where armed settlers opened live fire toward homes and residents. Medical sources reported that Odeh was shot in the chest with live ammunition, while two others were wounded in the knee and thigh, and his father suffered assault-related injuries.
The injured were initially treated at a local medical center, and both Odeh and another victim were later transferred to Rafidia Governmental Hospital in Nablus, where doctors attempted resuscitation. Odeh was pronounced dead.
Mayor Hani Odeh confirmed that the settlers’ attack targeted young men and homes in the town, leaving the community shaken.
Reports indicate that since the early afternoon, a rolling settler attack targeted houses on the hilltop near the outpost deep in Area B, from where the attack on three activists from “Looking the Occupation in the Eye” occurred two weeks ago. Since then, settlers have been roaming daily among the houses, terrorizing residents and acting as if the hill belongs to them.
Around 2:20 p.m., a report (with attached video) indicated that settlers threw stones at a truck driver, who managed to escape. Residents say they called the police, who informed them that the army was on its way.
Around 3:00 p.m., masked settlers were seen moving between houses, including a settler carrying a long weapon. The cries of frightened children can be heard from a house. Residents reported that they called security forces again.
By 4:00 p.m., reports say that an Israeli force arrived on the hill, and gunfire was heard in the footage, though no injuries were reported at that time. Around this stage, there were reports of stones being thrown back and forth between houses, and later footage shows soldiers alongside the settlers.
According to multiple eyewitnesses, the army left the hill around 4:50 p.m., while the settlers remained.
At 5:15 p.m., a report came in that settlers were attacking an inhabited house, smashing windows, and that residents had gone out to help the family, resulting in a confrontation with the settlers. Eyewitnesses stated that the settlers shot and killed Ameer Motasem Odeh and injured three others, reportedly fired at dozens of meters from the houses.
