Assassination of Yousri Abu Qubeita in Masafer Yatta by settlers and soldiers

On March 25, 2026, at 17:30, Israeli settlers and soldiers chased and opened fire on vehicles carrying Palestinian workers near the village of Umm al-Khair in Masafer Yatta this evening. As a result of the shooting, several vehicles veered off the road, and at least one Palestinian, Yusry Amy Qbeita, was killed, and at least eight were injuried.

The chase happened between Umm Al-Khair and Khirbet Fateh Sidra in Masafer Yatta.

Israeli forces blocked locals and volunteers from searching for the missing and injured while firing live bullets at them.

At the end, the Palestine Red Crescent Society provided medical aid to three injured individuals, including one wounded by live fire.
