Hagai Segal is a convicted terrorist and a prominent religious Zionist media figure. He is the father of leading Netanyahu mouthpiece Amit Segal. In the 1980s he was part of the Jewish terrorist organization The Jewish Underground, which carried out attacks against Palestinians and planned to blow up Al Aqsa's Dome of the Rock. Segal personally planted bombs in the car of Ramallah Mayor Karim Khalaf, and the garage door of Al-Bireh Mayor Ibrahim Tawil. The first bomb exploded, causing Khalaf's leg to be amputated, and the second blinded a Border Police officer who attempted to dismantle it. Segal spent only two years in jail, and continued to be a leading figure in the Religious Zionist public." - Source
