On June 14, 2026, around 1:20 p.m., a group of settlers in the Khirbet Sarra plain area, between the villages of Qaryut and Jalud, set up a number of tents on an area of land owned by citizen Mahmoud Zaki Amer, Rami Moussa, and Ahmed Bashir Azem, in an attempt to establish a new settlement outpost.

On January 1, 2025, A new pastoral (grazing) outpost established in the Ras Muwis / Ras Mois area south of Qaryut, initially consisting of tents and a sheep pen. The settlers setting up tents in the Silon area south of the village as the beginning of a new outpost.
In November 2025, reports indicated the establishment and expansion of a new outpost in Jabal al-Najma, near Qaryut, using bulldozers.
