"Palestinians in Gaza gather to recite the Talbiyah, the words pilgrims call out as they approach Mecca, mourning the fact that they have been deprived of performing Hajj for three consecutive years under the Israeli occupation's siege and ongoing genocide. "O Lord, forgive us, we couldn't make the pilgrimage to You for three years," they repeat, before reciting "Labbayk Allahumma Labbayk" (Here I am, O Allah, here I am), the same words being uttered at this very moment by over two million Muslims arriving in Mecca for Hajj. The closure of the Rafah crossing and the total blockade imposed by the Israeli occupation have made it impossible for Palestinians in Gaza to fulfill one of the five pillars of Islam, joining the long list of basic rights, religious, medical, and human, stripped from them since October 2023. nahed_hajjaj99 (IG)" - Source
