"The occupation is approaching its 60th year. Six decades of military rule, systematic human rights violations, and ethnic cleansing across vast swathes of the West Bank. One of the clearest examples of this reality, taking place under government auspices, is the phenomenon of illegal outposts. Moshe Sharvit, a violent settler who established an illegal outpost on land allocated to him by the state for grazing purposes, has made displacing Palestinians from their homes and lands his life's work—which even earned him international sanctions. We petitioned the court against him on behalf of the farmers he targets, and the High Court of Justice issued an interim order directing the military to remove him from the lands and allow the farmers to return to cultivating them. To stop Sharvit and many others like him, much more work is needed."
