Overnight arson of a house in Tuba

On Augustus 5, 2026, overnight, around 30 settlers entered the community of Khirbet al-Tuba , in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, and fled a short time later. Israeli settlers torch Palestinian homes injuring six including three women.

six residents were injured after being attacked by settlers wielding sticks and throwing stones, the injured included a 6-year-old girl and a 36-year-old woman.

The residents subsequently filed a police complaint.

Media reports also say that Hebrew graffiti reading “Eretz Yehuda” (“Land of Judea,” a reference to the geographic region where the hamlet is located) was spray-painted at the scene.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society said its crews treated six people, including three women, for bruises sustained in the attack and transferred them to hospital.

IDF Statement:

IDF says settler arsonists fled before troops arrived at West Bank village. The military says that as the troops arrived, they scanned the area and “identified burned structures, graffiti, and damaged property.” However, the “suspects had fled before their arrival.” Police officers entered the village overnight with IDF escort to collect evidence and testimony for the investigation. The IDF says that it “strongly condemns incidents of this kind, including harm to residents, among them women and children.” “The IDF expects law enforcement authorities to bring the suspects to justice,” the army adds.police investigating
