On September 20, Israeli forces raided Biddu, northwest of Jerusalem. Israeli forces arrested at least 53 Palestinians, following the arrest of a Palestinian man suspected of killing an Israeli settler near Halamish. Troops have raided homes, turned several into detention centres, and conducted field interrogations, while schools, shops and offices remain closed. Residents reported assaults and a climate of fear.

At 15:30, on September 20, the Israeli forces stormed the town of Biddu, and raided and searched the house of the citizen Qadri Muhammad Samara (suspected of shooting a settler near the "Halmish" colony).They also occupied a house and turned it into a military point, and surrounded the worshipers in the Abdullah bin Jaber Mosque while they were performing the afternoon prayer.They raided and searched a number of homes, detained 53 citizens, 53 young men in an interrogation centre the forces established inside one of the houses seized during their raid on the town, and later released them after conducting a field investigation with them.

According to the Biddu Mayor Nazmi Mansour, “The occupation forces have abused and assaulted a number of citizens during the ongoing raids and searches. Residents are staying in their homes, and a state of fear and anticipation prevails in the town,”.(...)"to remind people that if anyone is considering an attack against Israelis, then the whole town, the whole vicinity, the whole area will be paying the price for it,”.
