"🔴🎥 Israeli forces push further into Gaza, displacing more Palestinians As Israel’s genocide in Gaza enters its fourth year, and one year after the so-called ceasefire, Israeli forces continue pushing the “yellow line” deeper into the Strip, expanding their control over nearly 70% of Gaza. Drop Site’s Mohamed Ahmed filmed families fleeing near Shujaiya Intersection, east of Gaza City, after Israeli forces advanced the line to within 10 meters of Salah al-Din Street. Mohammed Obeid, 29, was wounded as Israeli forces advanced. “I was asleep and woke up to gunfire — it was like rain. I couldn't get up. I felt something hit my leg, like two bullets,” he said. Sara Al-Ramlawi described three years of repeated displacement, moving from one place to another every few months before arriving at Shujaiya, only to be forced out again. “Right now, we don't know where to go.” “We're not asking for a house. Just a piece of land where we can put up tents,” she said. “We graduated from universities. We had jobs. And now we can't find a single shekel. We don't have one shekel to leave this place.” “We want to return to our homes, even if it means living on top of the rubble,” Al-Ramlawi said. 🎥 Mohamed Ahmed" - Source

Forced displacement as Israel steals more land from Shujaiya

In the early morning hours of October 11, Israeli occupation forces pushed yellow blocks further into the Shujaiya neighborhood in east of Gaza City, making them around 10 meters from Salad al-Din Street according to locals. The move stole significant terrain in the neighborhood and forced displaced families out of their shelters.

The move to push the yellow line further into Gaza was preceded with the bombing of residential buildings in the neighborhood starting around 6:15 pm. Around midnight Israeli artillery shelled the area, and around 3 am at least Palestinians were injured by Israeli gunfire, one of whom was a pregnant woman.
