"“I want to dig a hole in the cemetery and sit in it,” a displaced Palestinian woman in Shuja’iyya says after the Israeli occupation army pushed the Yellow Line deeper into eastern Gaza City at dawn on Sunday. Her tent collapsed on top of her, burying her under her dishes and bedding, and she says she has been walking back and forth since morning looking for anywhere safe to stay. “Let them put the yellow stone beside me,” she says, pointing to the concrete blocks the Israeli occupation uses to mark the line as it creeps forward. Israeli occupation forces opened fire on tents near the Shuja’iyya junction during the advance, wounding two Palestinians, one of them a pregnant woman, and forcing dozens of families to flee in the dark. A year into the ceasefire, the Israeli occupation keeps moving the blocks west, one neighbourhood at a time, and the people living in tents in front of them have nowhere left to go but the graves of those already killed mohamedjebrel95 (IG)" - Source
In the early morning hours of October 11, Israeli occupation forces pushed yellow blocks further into the Shujaiya neighborhood in east of Gaza City, making them around 10 meters from Salad al-Din Street according to locals. The move stole significant terrain in the neighborhood and forced displaced families out of their shelters.
The move to push the yellow line further into Gaza was preceded with the bombing of residential buildings in the neighborhood starting around 6:15 pm. Around midnight Israeli artillery shelled the area, and around 3 am at least Palestinians were injured by Israeli gunfire, one of whom was a pregnant woman.
