Report from Shujaiya about Israel's theft of more land in the area

Original Social Media Post

"All of Shuja’iyya is now under the full control of the Israeli occupation army. Since Sunday, Israeli occupation forces have been pushing the Yellow Line west through one of Gaza City’s largest neighbourhoods, dragging the yellow concrete blocks forward at night until they sit right beside the tents of displaced families. In parts of western Shuja’iyya, the blocks are now just 10 metres from Salah Al-Din Street. Families woke to heavy gunfire from military vehicles and quadcopters aimed at their tents, and hundreds have fled in the dark with nowhere to go and not even a tent waiting for them. “It destroyed everything,” the man filming says, “and turned this area into fire and rubble on whoever remained.” This morning, the occupation also moved the line forward in neighbouring Al-Tuffah, along the same road. Palestinian researchers say the Yellow Line now confines Gaza’s population to about 40 percent of the Strip, and a year into the ceasefire, that space shrinks every few nights. mohamed_aljabary (IG)" - Source

Forced displacement as Israel steals more land from Shujaiya

In the early morning hours of October 11, Israeli occupation forces pushed yellow blocks further into the Shujaiya neighborhood in east of Gaza City, making them around 10 meters from Salad al-Din Street according to locals. The move stole significant terrain in the neighborhood and forced displaced families out of their shelters.

The move to push the yellow line further into Gaza was preceded with the bombing of residential buildings in the neighborhood starting around 6:15 pm. Around midnight Israeli artillery shelled the area, and around 3 am at least Palestinians were injured by Israeli gunfire, one of whom was a pregnant woman.
