Suspicious boxes likely laden with explosives laid by the IDF in eastern Gaza City

"Boxes of death, packed with tons of explosives. Israeli occupation forces are planting them among the ruins of homes along Mushtaha Al-Faisal Street, the road that divides Shuja’iyya to the south from Al-Tuffah to the north, right on the edge of the Yellow Line in eastern Gaza City. Then, from a safe distance, they detonate them by remote control. The blasts are so powerful that residents say the ground shakes as if in an earthquake, and they flatten whatever was still standing in neighbourhoods already reduced to rubble. Just yesterday, the occupation army blew up another explosive-packed robot carrying tons of explosives to destroy what remains of homes in eastern Gaza City. This week, it pushed the Yellow Line through the whole of Shuja’iyya and deeper into Al-Tuffah, moving its concrete blocks to within metres of Salah Al-Din Street and forcing hundreds of families to flee. Every house blown up is one more family that can never come back. A year into the ceasefire, the occupation is erasing eastern Gaza City block by block, and it is clearing the land it plans to keep. Forced displacement as Israel steals more land from ShujaiyaIn the early morning hours of October 11, Israeli occupation forces pushed yellow blocks further into the Shujaiya neighborhood in east of Gaza City, making them around 10 meters from Salad al-Din Street according to locals. The move stole significant terrain in the neighborhood and forced displaced families out of their shelters.
The move to push the yellow line further into Gaza was preceded with the bombing of residential buildings in the neighborhood starting around 6:15 pm. Around midnight Israeli artillery shelled the area, and around 3 am at least Palestinians were injured by Israeli gunfire, one of whom was a pregnant woman.
