At 3 pm, an Israeli strike taregeted government employees at a site of the local borders and crossings authority affiliated with the Ministry of Economy in Mawasi Rafah, where the employees were carrying out monitoring and inspection work of goods entering the Gaza Strip. At least 3 people were initially killed and over 30 injured.
