Settlers raid and torch property - Al-Bireh

West Bank, Ramallah, Al-Bireh 04 November, 2024
Around dawn on November 4, Israeli settlers launched a large attack near the Jabal Tawil area in Al-Bireh, near downtown Ramallah, West Bank. Settlers burned **18 cars** belonging to Palestinians in a large-scale arson attack. In addition, [two apartments](https://x.com/qudsn/status/1853318647130849707) were also torched. When Palestinians tried to stop the settlers burning their cars, armed settlers began to shoot at them and at the ambulance on sight. While such attacks have happened in the area in the last year, this is the biggest of its kind. In the morning, Israeli occupation forces stormed the industrial zone in Al-Bireh. Some [observers](https://x.com/xabueid/status/1853331946513785009) noted that the night pogrom took place only meters from a military base in the West Bank, without any reaction from them. Acts of violence by Jewish settlers targeting Palestinians in the West Bank have been rapidly increasing over the past few years. Last year alone saw a significant surge in attacks by Israeli settlers against Palestinians and their property, with over 100 incidents reported monthly.
