West Bank, Tubas 19 October, 2025
On october 19, 2025, overnight, Israeli forces launched a large-scale military operation in the city of Tubas, deploying heavy reinforcements and sealing its main entrances. The army claimed the raid followed minor injuries to two soldiers after an explosive device was thrown at a patrol on Saturday, Ocotber 18. The Al-Quds Brigades – Tubas Battalion – said its fighters detonated an anti-personnel explosive against an Israeli infantry force at the Tayasir junction, “causing confirmed injuries” and forcing evacuations. Governor Ahmed Al-Asaad said around 30 Israeli military vehicles, two bulldozers, and infantry units took part in the assault, which involved closing the southern entrance with sand barriers and carrying out demolitions in the city center. Israeli forces blew up a residential apartment after storming it, forcibly removed its residents, planted explosives inside, and later detonated it, causing a loud explosion heard across the city. Troops also bulldozed sections of the main square in the city center, damaged private property, and turned several homes into military posts after forcing residents to leave. They arrested a young man, Sayel Amawi, after raiding his home. The southern entrance to Tubas was sealed with dirt mounds. The Palestinian Prisoners Society reported that several residents were detained and subjected to field interrogations during the offensive. Israeli forces withdrew in the morning, after wreaking havoc and vandalizing public and private property for several hours.

An elderly Palestinian woman harvesting her land was assaulted by a settler, who struck her on the back of the head with a stick. She lost consciousness and was transported by car to the hospital. 2. Settlers injuried also a young man, and a foreign activist with varying bruises and wounds. 3. Assault on the US activist and independant journalist, Jasper Nathaniel,(@infinite_jaz) who was reporting on the ground, by dozen of masked and armed settlers. "If I am killed in the West Bank, please know that I blame you personally @GovMikeHuckabee. I was set up by the IDF to be attacked by 100 armed settlers. When I sent the embassy the video and asked for protection for me and everyone else in Turmus’ayya, they literally said no." Blocked in the plain between two hills — one occupied by armed settlers, the other by soldiers — Jasper Nathaniel tries to negotiate his escape with the soldiers. They seem to let them go, but... "8:42 AM: I walk back to the car, and we drive up. I mistakenly think the soldiers said they would make the settlers leave. Instead, as soon as we arrive, the soldiers speed away—leaving us facing two settlers on an ATV, one of them armed. A few other farmers are there too, beside a car with a smashed windshield."

Release of Palestinian detainees under October ceasefire deal (West Bank)

West Bank, Ofer prison 13 October, 2025
On the morning of 13 October 2025, the Asra Media Office published the lists of Palestinian prisoners to be liberated today by the Hamas in the latest stage of the prisoner exchange taking place as part of the ongoing ceasefire agreement in Gaza. The Palestinian prisoners to be liberated have already boarded buses in Ofer and Ketziot Detention center — after being subjected to torture, abuse and attempted humiliation inside the occupation prisons, once again. **Israeli restrictions**: Israeli forces have fropped by drone and distributed leaflet threatening the families of the liberated prisoners by ordering them not to hold celebrations. They arrested and detained their fathers, brothers and sons in multiple invasions and attacks on villages, cities and refugee camps in the West Bank of occupied Palestine. Exile of over 150 prisoners instead of return home. Prior denial of family visits, prolonging separation and emotional strain. Prisoner transfers between facilities before release, often under strict monitoring. **Attack on the families and journalists near Ofer prison:** The families attempting to meet their loved ones, along with Palestinian and international journalists covering the event near Ofer Prison, were subjected to tear gas, stun grenades, and even live ammunition. Armored vehicles also fired in Beituna, a village near the prison. One young man was wounded by live bullets. **The detaines released in West Bank:** Among those released were 250 Palestinians sentenced to prison terms, most of them convicted by the unfair Israeli military court for deadly attacks on Israelis dating back decades, as well as others convicted on lesser charges. Of those, Israel exiled 154, sending them to neighboring Egypt, where officials said they will be sent to third countries. The rest were returning to homes in east Jerusalem & the West Bank. The agreement also includes 1,718 Palestinian hostages abducted in Gaza and held in Israeli detention facilities since the Israeli ground invasion in October 2023. They were released in Gaza the same day, after Hamas freed 20 Israeli prisoners (all male IDF members) who had been held since October 7, 2023. **Some testimonies** As part of the October 2025 prisoner release deal, two Palestinian prisoners from Hebron had very different fates: Muhammad Ahmad Imran – detained in December 2022 and sentenced to 13 life terms, was exiled by Israel rather than allowed to return home. Israel’s exile policy affects over 150 of the 250 prisoners released, restricting their movements and likely preventing families from seeing them again. His siblings, Ibtisam and Raed Imran, traveled to Ramallah expecting to welcome him, but faced Israeli threats forbidding celebrations or messages of solidarity. Hani al-Zeir – arrested on June 28, 2002, sentenced to 25 years, and served 23 years, was freed and returned home. He reunited with his brother Bassam al-Zeir at the Ramallah Cultural Centre, accompanied by cousin Arafat al-Zeir, who was also released but had deteriorating health and required medical attention. Israeli restrictions prevented families from fully celebrating the reunion. Kamal Abu Shanab, a 51-year-old from the West Bank town of Tulkarem who was released after more than 18 years in prison: “It was an indescribable journey of suffering — hunger, unfair treatment, oppression, torture and curses — more than anything you could imagine,” He said he lost 139 pounds (59 kilograms) in prison. “We don’t recognize him. He’s not the person we knew. Our uncle doesn’t look like our uncle,” said his niece, Farah Abu Shanab. A military court in 2007 convicted Abu Shanab of “military trainings, voluntary manslaughter and membership in an unrecognized organization,” according to Israel’s list of exchanged prisoners. He was arrested that year during an Israeli raid targeting members of the armed wing of Fatah, the political party that runs the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank. **The list of 250 life and long sentence prisoners to be liberated:** Some of the freed prisoners will return home, while others will be forcibly deported from their homeland: 1.
