On September 3, 2025, Israeli special forces infiltrated Balata camp in a vehicle bearing Palestinian license plates. Mujahid Muhammad Hamouda Khadish was arrested after his home was encircled. At 10:05, during the earlier raid on Balata camp, confrontations erupted after Israeli forces fired live and rubber-coated bullets, stun grenades, and tear gas, reportedly following stone-throwing. The operation resulted in the death of one Palestinian and the arrest of another, before the forces withdrew at 10:45.
